The Commerce Company is seeking to hire a full-time representative who will be responsible for both reception and marketing duties. Responsibilities include:
Drafting Press Releases, Client Letters, Website Copy, Responses to Requests for Proposal, Etc
Designing Newsletters, Flyers, Website, Brochures
Event planning for clients and prospects, as well as internal holiday parties and volunteer events
Researching and reporting to management on various marketing opportunities
Using software including Quark, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop
Administrative duties such as answering phones, filing (electronic and paper), maintaining the kitchen and common areas
Data entry using Microsoft Excel and/or Access
Assisting with monthly accounting tasks
Coordinating lunch and birthday functions
Various other projects as needed
Qualifications:
2-3 years related marketing experience
1-2 years administrative/reception experience
Ability to work efficiently and accurately with minimal oversight
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
Proven ability to work independently and competently handle multiple responsibilities, with a high degree of accuracy, in a high pressure environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and design software
Track record of professional growth and integrity
Financial services industry experience with securities, 401(k), or TPA environments/familiarity with industry terminology as needed for marketing responsibilities.
Series 6, 7 and/or 66 preferred, but not required.
Insurance licenses and/or designations such as CRPS, CPS, AIF are a plus!
The Commerce Company has an immediate opening for a Securities Licensed appointment scheduler.
Primary duties will be scheduling appointments between potential clients and our Financial Advisors, qualifying potential clients, and soliciting indications of interest in our 401(k) advisory services. Applicants must be comfortable "cold-callers."
