PORTLAND, Ore., June 28, 2010 – The Commerce Company is pleased to announce the designation of Amanda Bonds to Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®).  In addition to her Series 7 and 66 licenses, the credential further equips Ms. Bonds to knowledgeably assist corporate clients and their employees as a Retirement Plan Specialist at the firm.  Bonds, a graduate of Evergreen State College, joined The Commerce Company in 2008 and was previously an investment consultant in San Francisco.

According to the College For Financial Planning, the provider for many of the financial industry’s well-known courses and designations, the CRPS® program is specifically designed for “professionals who design, install, and maintain retirement plans for the business community.”  Obtaining the credential required extensive study and successful completion of a final exam, and Bonds must participate in continuing education to maintain the designation.
